Air France flight AF1462 Paris-Stockholm, operated by an Airbus A220-300, declared an emergency during it’s descent into the Swedish airport.
Information is limited surrounding the incident at hand.
Below is what we know on this so far.
Air France AF1462 – Paris CDG to Stockholm…
Air France flight AF1462, which was involved in the emergency, is a routine scheduled flight between Paris CDG and Stockholm Arlanda.
Furthermore, the aircraft involved in the incident was F-HZUR.
As per data from Planespotters.netF-HZUR is a 2.6 year old Airbus A220-300 that was delivered to the airline back in November 2022.
Of the A220-300 variant, Air France has 44 of them in their fleet.
Moreover, of that 44, 31 are in active service, and 13 are parked, with an average fleet age of 2.1 years.
Air France flight AF1462, which declared the emergency, departed Paris CDG at 2112 local time on June 28th, bound for Stockholm.
Everything was normal in the flight until the aircraft got close to the Swedish airport.
The flight declared an emergency via the 7700 squawk code, and proceeded to descend rapidly.
From there, after a s-loop to lose altitude, the aircraft landed safely without further incident at 2219 local time.
After arrival, the aircraft was escorted by operational vehicles.
Reason for the Emergency on the A220 Is Unclear…

At the time of publication, the reason for the emergency onboard the Airbus A220 operating Air France flight AF1462 Paris-Stockholm is currently unclear.
What we do know is that the emergency was serious enough to prompt a broadcast.
As soon as we have more information on the cause, we will update you.
