Alex Cooper’s Former Assistant Soccer Coach Speaks Out After Sexual Harassment Allegations

by Marcelo Moreira

Alex Cooper’s former assistant soccer coach is addressing the sexual harassment allegations.

The Call Her Daddy podcast host came out with a Hulu documentary, Call Her Alexthis week, in which she dropped a bombshell claim. Alex alleged she was sexually harassed by her former coach, Nancy Feldmanthroughout her years playing D1 soccer at Boston University:

“It was this psychotic game of, ‘You wanna play? Tell me about your sex life, I have to drive you to your night class, get in the car with me alone.’ I started trying to spend as little time as possible with her, taking different routes to practice where I knew I wouldn’t run into her. During meetings, I would try to sit as far away from her as possible, literally anything to not be alone with this woman.”

But when the Unwell Network founder did avoid Feldman, she claimed she was punished, getting benched from games. Awful.

Speaking to The Boston Globe on Friday, Alex shared more about the nightmare she faced in college because of her alleged harasser. And it is heartbreaking. She recalled an incident where she and other players came down with mononucleosis. However, the Unwell Hydration creator allegedly was the only one called into the office at BU’s athletic complex to speak with Feldman and assistant coach Casey Brown. There, she claimed she was interrogated about “who” she was with and “how” she got it. WTF.

According to Alex, she looked to Brown during all this, “locked eyes” with her, and begged, “‘Casey, help me’” — but she “did nothing about it.” Instead, Brown allegedly turned away. Absolutely horrible. To ignore someone pleading for help is cruel. Brown supposedly doesn’t remember any of this happening, though!

In a statement to the Globeshe insisted she had “no recollection of what has been suggested” by Alex. Hmm. Brown, who is now the head coach after Feldman retired in 2022, continued:

“But let me be absolutely clear: I would never ignore, dismiss or turn away from anyone — a player, a teammate, a friend, a family member — who sought my help in any capacity. As a coach, I understood the weight of my responsibility to protect my players and act accordingly. The suggestion that I would do otherwise is completely false.”

Considering Alex alleges women were still facing harassment and abuse this year at the BU campus, it doesn’t sound like much protection is happening… What are your thoughts on her statement, Perezcious readers? Sound OFF in the comments!
