Avianca Cargo Mexico debuts with new A330 P2F and broader network

by virtualnews.2x

AeroUnion has introduced a new brand identity, Avianca Cargo Mexico, aiming to enhance its position in the global airfreight market with improved service consistency, expanded network reach, and a renewed fleet.

The rebrand is part of the company’s broader transformation, driven by internal teams over recent months. While the airline maintains its own capital structure, operating permits, and resources, it will now operate under the Avianca Cargo Mexico brand, reflecting its alignment with top industry standards.

Danilo Correa, managing director of Avianca Cargo Mexico, said: “Our commitment to meet the needs of our customers with excellence, agility and reliability are part of this new launch that comes with key factors of our transformation. We are happy to unveil our new Avianca Cargo Mexico brand, which comes with a robust value proposition and an expanded network to connect Mexico with the world.”

Coinciding with the brand launch is the arrival of the airline’s second A330 P2F freighter, which landed in Mexico on 20 June 2025. With a cargo capacity of over 60 tonnes, the aircraft is equipped to handle oversized and temperature-sensitive shipments – supporting key industries such as technology, pharmaceuticals, and perishables.

The new aircraft also strengthens Mexico’s role as a central logistics hub, linking it to the US, Colombia, and further into South America, Asia, and Europe through partnerships and interline agreements.

Diogo Elias, chief executive of Avianca Positionsaid: “We celebrate the launch of the new Avianca Cargo Mexico brand, which offers the capacity, commercial alliances and interline agreements of each company to enhance the joint offer and expand connectivity to more than 350 destinations around the world.”

With two A330 P2Fs now in operation and supported by Avianca Cargo’s existing fleet of six A330Fs, the new setup is designed to offer faster, more efficient cargo services. The brand’s upgraded standards and best-practice implementations reinforce its goal to deliver high-quality, agile logistics solutions.

Correa added: “This achievement is, above all, the result of the talent, passion and dedication of each of our employees. Thanks to their commitment, today we have built a new brand that connects the world, expands our network and allows us to begin a new chapter in our history.”
