Campina Grande Airport, Paraíba’s second busiest, promoted Spotter Day O during the Corpus Christi holiday
Campina Grande Airport, in the interior of Paraíba, hosted last Thursday (19), the first edition of Spotter Aena, an event focused on photographers and aviation enthusiasts, organized by the concessionaire Aena Brasil.
The meeting brought together about twenty participants in a program that included visitation to operational areas and photographic records of aircraft. In the afternoon, participants were welcomed with an institutional presentation in the Terminal Auditorium (CPV) and a Coffee Break with typical June foods. Then the group received security guidelines, protection kits and gifts provided by the concessionaire, before accessing the restricted areas of the airport.
The program included passage through the two courtyards – General and Commercial Aviation -, Airport Operations Center (COA), Passenger Terminal, Azul Linhas Aéreas Operations Room and, as a highlight, the runway and takeoff track. The entire course was accompanied by operational teams, ensuring the safety of the records.
According to Luciano Rodrigues, director of Campina Grande airport, the event established a bond with a “very special” audience. “It is a pleasure to be able to bring spotters to the airport environment and show the operation of our operation, as well as providing the opportunity to photograph so closely aircraft”,
Participants were local residents and visitors from other cities. Aen Brazil did not say whether there will be new editions of the event in CPV, but said it reinforced interest in promoting activities that bring the public approaching the daily airport.
