Condor, the leading German leisure carrier, is planning a further expansion of its popular city route network from Frankfurt Airport.

Following the successful launch of nine European city destinations in 2025, Condor will introduce flights to Barcelona (BCN), Budapest (BUD), and Venice (VCE) starting May 1, 2026.

These new routes will offer travellers morning, afternoon, and evening flights, catering to both business and leisure passengers seeking convenient schedules.

Peter Gerber, Condor’s CEOgave comment about the latest expansion. “Our new city routes from Frankfurt have been a hit with travellers.”

“The positive response has encouraged us to add vibrant destinations like Barcelona, Budapest, and Venice to our summer 2026 schedule. These routes enhance our offering of daily flights at optimal times, ensuring a seamless travel experience for our guests.”

3 New Destinations

The addition of Barcelona, Budapest, and Venice complements Condor’s existing city connections, which include Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Paris (CDG), Milan (MXP), Rome (FCO), Vienna, Zurich, and Prague.

These routes are part of Condor’s 2026 summer timetable, designed to provide travellers with a diverse selection of Europe’s most captivating cities.

Whether it’s the cultural allure of Budapest, the architectural splendour of Barcelona, or the romantic canals of Venice, Condor’s expanded network ensures there’s something for every traveler.

Airbus A320neo Fleet

Condor is elevating the travel experience with its modernized short-haul fleet, featuring the fuel-efficient Airbus A320neo.

These state-of-the-art aircraft offer larger luggage compartments, onboard Wi-Fi, and interiors tailored to passenger comfort.

Flights operate in a two-class configuration: Business Class, which includes complimentary drinks and a premium snack, and Economy Class, where guests enjoy free water and a sweet treat. This commitment to comfort ensures a pleasant journey for all passengers.

Fleet Modernization Program

The airline is modernizing its fleet to reduce emissions significantly. Since March 2024, Condor has exclusively used new Airbus A330neo aircraft for long-haul routes.

For short- and medium-haul flights, the airline is rolling out 43 A32Xneo aircraft. These modern planes are designed for fuel efficiency, playing a key role in Condor’s commitment to environmental responsibility

“Round up for the Future”

Condor is also taking strides toward a greener future with its “Round up for the future” initiative. This program allows passengers to voluntarily round up their booking total to the nearest 10, 20, 50, or 100 euros during the payment process.

Every cent of the round-up amount is invested in Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), supporting Condor’s efforts to reduce its environmental impact.

This initiative responds to customer feedback from a recent Condor survey, where travellers expressed interest in accessible ways to contribute to sustainable aviation.

In addition to the round-up option, Condor offers a voluntary climate contribution program. Passengers can support SAF and certified climate protection projects during or after booking. For those seeking a more comprehensive eco-friendly option, Condor’s Green Fare is available across all routes and booking classes.

This fare calculates the flight’s kerosene-related CO₂ emissions and channels funds into SAF and climate initiatives, aligning with Condor’s goal to support the aviation industry’s target of CO₂ neutrality by 2050.

Conclusion

With its expanded city network, modern fleet, and innovative sustainability initiatives, Condor is redefining its travel offerings in 2026.

The addition of Barcelona, Budapest, and Venice offers travellers more choices, while the focus on comfort and eco-conscious options ensures a guilt-free journey.
