In the 2nd quarter of 2025 Embraer grows 23% in a portfolio and 30% in deliveries, highlighting commercial aviation and defense
Embraer announced today (21), which ended the second quarter of 2025 with a firm order portfolio of US $ 29.7 billion (R $ 165.4 billion), the largest volume ever registered by the company. The value represents a 23% increase over the same period as 2024.
Embraer delivered 61 aircraft in the period, a 30% increase over the second quarter of 2024 and more than double the volume in the first quarter of this year. Deliveries encompassed commercial, executive and military jets.
Commercial aviation totaled US $ 13.1 billion (R $ 72.9 billion) on requests, the highest amount since the fourth quarter of 2017. The growth was 31% over the previous quarter and 16% over the previous year.
In the quarter, the division delivered nineteen jets and reached the milestone of 1,000 units of the E175 model sold since 2005. Among the main contracts, we highlight Sixty E175 for Skywest (with fifty option) and 45 E195-E2 for Scandinavian Airlines-the company’s largest direct request.
Despite the maintenance of the pace of deliveries compared to the previous year, Embraer delivered in the semester only 32% of the annual projection for commercial aviation, below an average of 35% registered in the last five years. The company expects to recover the pace in the second half of 2025, with more visible effects in 2026.
In business aviation, the portfolio reached US $ 7.4 billion (R $ 41.2 billion) – up 62% over the second quarter of 2024, although 2% below the first three months of this year. 38 executive jets were delivered, number 41% higher than the one year earlier. In the semester, deliveries totaled 61 aircraft, exceeding the historical average of semiannual execution for the sector.
In defense the portfolio reached $ 4.3 billion ($ 23.9 billion), twice the value of a year earlier. Four A-29 Super Tucano were delivered to the Paraguayan Air Force and advances in strategic projects were recorded. Highlights include the C-390 Millennium selection by Lithuania and a new request for Portugal, with a prospect of ten additional aircraft for NATO countries. Other agreements announced with Sweden, Slovakia and Panama have not yet been incorporated into the portfolio because they were in the preliminary phase.
The service and support segment performed strong performance, with a 55% increase over 2T24 and growth of 5% over the previous quarter, reaching US $ 4.9 billion (R $ 27.3 billion) on requests. The result was driven by new maintenance contracts, simulators expansion, aircraft conversions to freighters, and agreements with companies such as Virgin Australia, Commuteaair and Aeromexic.
In the field of connectivity, Embraer has signed partnerships with Gogo and ViaSat to expand board solutions on E190 and Phenom 300 jets, aiming at higher after-sales value.
