Epic Flight Academy‘s school at Centennial Airport (KAPA) in Englewood, Colorado, is officially in business after a grand opening celebration for the Part 141 school on June 21.

“The folks at Centennial Airport and the entire Denver area have been extremely welcoming,” said EFA founder and CEO Danny Perna. “We’re happy to be a part of the community now. From our first visit to the area, we felt right at home, so the decision to establish a campus there was easy. We already have students training at [KAPA] and look forward to welcoming more.”

Members of the South Metro Denver Chamber hosted the ribbon-cutting ceremony. To mark the festivities, Epic pilots flew discovery flights with guests and gave them a chance to try flying in the school’s Precision Flight Controls GTX 172 advanced aviation training device (AATD).

“We had an excellent turnout,” said Brock Rees, EFA’s director of satellite operations. “The weather was perfect, and we are grateful to the community for coming out to tour the campus.”

Epic Flight Academy has been training pilots since 1999 and has operations all over the country. There are also other locations that provide training for maintenance technicians.
