Etihad Airways and Air Europa have marked off an operational milestone with Air Europa’s first-ever wet-lease flight from Abu Dhabi to Madrid.
This historic Boeing 787-9 service marks Air Europa’s debut aircraft operation in the Middle East, strengthening the partnership between the two airlines.
The collaboration builds on an expanded codeshare agreement and frequent flyer program cooperation.

Flight Services to Madrid
Etihad Airways now operates two daily flights to Madrid. The afternoon EY103 service, flown by Air Europa’s Boeing 787-9, offers 32 Business class seats and 307 Economy seats.
This wet-lease arrangement strengthens the growing travel market between Abu Dhabi and Spain. It also boosts tourism and trade ties between the UAE and Spain, fostering stronger economic and cultural connections.
