Oneywell Conecta Jetwave X to the ViaSat Network and provides for certification in 2025, focusing on high speed and global coverage for business aviation

Honeywell has established the first connection of the Jetwave X system to the ViaSat satellite network, marking a crucial step towards certification of the fourth quarter of 2025. Technology promises to expand connectivity in global coverage and operational redundancy.

Jetwave X is designed to use ViaSat’s current and future infrastructure, including ViaSAT-3 and GX satellites. Simplified architecture should reduce installation time for manufacturers and maintenance centers compared to the previous Jetwave generation, already present in about 2,000 aircraft.

Bombardier and Dassault confirmed the adoption of the new system, with platform availability schedules to be released. Honeywell expects to announce new partner manufacturers also in the second half of 2025.

Jetwave X and JetXP services integrate a strategy aimed at meeting increasing demand due to high capacity connectivity and reduced latency in executive aviation, a segment that requires standards close to those of land networks.
