LATAM AIRLINES SUSPEND ROUND Fortaleza – Humii from October and expands flights to Lisbon
Latam Airlines announced on Friday (4), the extension of the seasonal route between Fortaleza and Lisbon. Between October 27 this year to March 26, 2026, the weekly frequency will be expanded from one to three flights, operated on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays with the Boeing 787-9.
The decision to prolong the operation, initially expected only until October, was motivated by the average occupation of 82% recorded on the route. With this, the company will temporarily suspend the flights between Fortaleza and Miami, in the same time, with the two weekly flights offered by Gol Linhas Aéreas.
The route between the capital of Ceará and Lisbon will follow the same aircraft configuration: thirty seats at the Premium Business Cabin, 57 at Economy+ and 213 at Economy. According to Latam, the flight offers a direct connection between Brazil and Europe lasting seven and a half hours.
In addition to passenger transport, the increase in frequency strengthens the performance of Latam Cargo, which now offers more weekly options to send perishable loads to the European market. In the first three months of route operation, more than 230 tons of fruits were transported, especially papaya.
