Macapá International Airport inaugurated its first VIP room and won Anac’s Poperational Certification
Macapá International Airport, Amapá’s capital, inaugurated last Wednesday (25) its first VIP room, The Lounge Macapá, under the management of the northern concessionaire of the Airports Amazon.
The news is part of a set of structural and operational improvements implemented by the administrator, which also recently won the operational certification of the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac).
With capacity for 45 passengers, the new VIP room offers rest areas, children’s space, business center with internet and power points, as well as buffet, a la carte options and various drinks. Access is done through priority programs Pass and LoungeKey, or via the amount of R $ 175, with no limit on permanence. Operation occurs from 10am to 6pm and from 10pm to 6pm, according to the terminal’s commercial air network.
According to NOA, the new space represents an advance in the qualification of passenger experience. “We are working continuously to attract new ventures to the airport, and this delivery marks the beginning of a new phase”Said Artur Costa, director-financial director of the Amazon North Concessionaire Airports.
In addition to the VIP room, terminal management (MCP) highlights the obtaining of operational certification issued by ANAC. Recognition attests that Macapá Airport meets the safety and operational excellence requirements required by the regulatory agency.
According to Marco Antônio Miglioorini, CEO of NOA, the concession agreement provided for the airport qualification for medium-sized aircraft (3C code). However, the investments made allowed the operation with larger 4C aircraft, such as the Airbus A321 and the Boeing 737 Max 8.
Among the interventions performed for certification are the construction of safety areas at the ends of the track (RES), the readjustment of horizontal signaling, improvements in the drainage system and the adoption of new operational procedures. The actions also included approval of the Operations Manual (MOPs) and compliance with the requirements verified in the Anac audits.
NOA reported that it continues to execute its investment plan according to the concession contract, focusing on safety, operational efficiency and quality of the facilities.
