Nok Air taps StandardAero for 737-800 engine support

by virtualnews.2x

Aerospace engine aftermarket services firm, StandardAero, has renewed its engine maintenance partnership with Nok Air, to provide MRO services for the Thai low-cost carrier’s fleet of CFM56-7B-powered Boeing 737-800s.

The agreement covers engine workscopes performed at StandardAero’s facility in Winnipeg, Canada, where two Nok Air engines have already been inducted.

Nok Air operates 14 737-800s across domestic routes in Thailand and international services in Southeast, East, and South Asia.

Mario Romano, airline sales director for StandardAero’s airlines and fleet business unit, said: “StandardAero’s commitment to the highest levels of service quality should ensure that Nok Air is ‘smiling across Asia’ for many years to come!”

StandardAero previously supported Nok Air’s former fleet of Dash 8-400 turboprops by providing long-standing maintenance services for Pratt & Whitney Canada PW150A engines.
